Valerie began working in the hospitality sector in 1992. She managed Gullane's Hotel in Ballinasloe for 10 years before taking over Ballinasloe Golf Club Bar & Restaurant.

 

In 2005 she decided to invest in her own business and Valerie's of Aughrim was born!  Since then Valerie's has become the

'heart and soul' of the village of Aughrim

Music has always played a huge role in Valerie's life. Born into a family of great musicians she has been singing and playing since she was a child. As an accomplished singer and musician she has recorded 2 solo albums to date and has performed to audiences all over the world. Her recordings remain highly requested and can regularly be heard gracing the airwaves of Galway Bay FM.
